With three top-five results, including a victory in his Blue Marble Radical Cup North America debut, Jace Bacon is ready for more. Set to tackle Barber Motorsports Park, dubbed the Alabama Roller Coaster, Bacon will pilot in Crown with Apex Racing prepared Radical in the PRO 1340 class as he continues to progress in his rookie season.
“I am ready to get back on track and see what we can do,” expressed Bacon. “It was a good weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park, but I think we could have easily scored another victory if things went our way. With my first national event complete, I now know what to expect heading to Alabama and am up for the challenge.”
Having never been to the 2.38-mile, 16-turn Leeds, Alabama Barber Motorsports Park, Bacon will utilize a pair of practice sessions on Thursday to familiarize himself with the natural terrain road course before Friday’s qualifying and race one. Saturday will continue the wheel-to-wheel action with race two and three on the weekend as the Arizona native hopes to leave Alabama with some additional hardware.
Bacon added. “The goal is simple for me. I want to win and learn by doing so. I have the right group of people around me, and a great team behind me, and I am confident after my first Radical Cup North America win at the most recent event. I look forward to sharing the track with my dad once again as we continue to battle in the same class. A huge thank you to my family and all my supporters, and I look forward to making everyone proud again this weekend.”
In local competition, Bacon continues to impress. Earning a podium result at the Apex Motor Club during the Apex Race Series two weeks ago, Jace is entering Barber Motorsports Park with momentum on his side.
