Taking a short hiatus from racing to complete the year of school, Jace Bacon is back at Road America and pulling double duty. Set to compete in both the Radical Cup North America program with the potent Crown with Apex racing program, Bacon will also join the Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) effort in the USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire series.

“I am excited to be back competing nationally,” explained Jace Bacon. “It was vital for me to finish the school year strong, all while staying sharp on the track at the local level. Pulling double duty in my first event back will be tough, but I am up for the challenge.”

As a winner in 2023 in the Pro 1340 class at Radical Cup North America, Bacon will aim to take the class by storm this weekend at the 4.408-mile facility in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Staying sharp in a Radical at his local Apex facility, Bacon sets his sights high.

Bacon continued, “My best chance to do well is in Radical as I have much more experience in that car, but I am anxious to continue my learning curve with Jay Howard in USF2000.”

After only completing a handful of test days in open-wheel machinery, Bacon will make his USF2000 debut at Road America. With realistic goals set, Bacon will look to complete all laps and gain some additional and valuable on-track time.

“I want to learn and continue to grow as a driver,” added Bacon. “Competing in sports cars and open wheel on the same weekend will be a unique experience, but I am up for the challenge.”
